Our Staff
Preschool staff members are hired based on education, experience and philosophy about teaching young children. Lead teachers plan curriculum and develop the classroom program to reflect the school’s philosophy and meet the developmental needs of the children. Assistant teachers team with the lead teacher to provide guidance and assistance to the children. All staff members engage in continuing education opportunities throughout the year. Presbyterian Preschool currently has 4 master teachers on staff.
Dana Brown
Director
Dana graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood. She received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in reading. Dana taught in public school for 22 years and while there, received her National Board Certification, and re-certified, as an Early Childhood Generalist. Dana joined Presbyterian Preschool as the director in 2012. She is a platinum level director.
Dayle Winslow
Ladybug Class (1 year olds)-Lead Teacher (M/W/F)
Presbyterian Preschool is happy to welcome Dayle. She has a degree from Oklahoma State University in Elementary Education and has taught for 7 years in public schools. She is the parent of three children. Dayle started teaching at Presbyterian Preschool in 2020.
Brooke Ketch
Ladybug Class (1 year olds) - T/TH Assistant; M/W/F Floater:
Presbyterian Preschool is happy to have Brooke join our teaching staff. She is a certified early childhood/elementary education public school teacher. Brooke taught several years before she decided to stay home with her two young boys!
Christiane Boles
Younger floater MWF
Christiane joined our staff in 2023. She has a bachelors of arts and has taught 5th grade and online previously. Christiane has 3 children, and two of them attended preschool here.
Erin Lawson
Floater
Erin started teaching at our school in August of 2017. She is working on a degree in early childhood/special education. Erin brings a wide variety of experience to us. She has worked as a nanny, a special education teaching assistant, a kindergarten teaching assistant and a lead teacher in a different preschool. She has one son.
Amanda Sanders-Vann
Ducky Class (young 3’s)- Lead Teacher
We were happy to have Amanda join our staff in 2014. She is a mother of one and has a Bachelor of Science in Human and Family Sciences- Child Development. She is a Master Teacher coming to us with 9 years of experience as a preschool teacher.
Kate Wells
Cricket Class (2 year olds) - Lead Teacher
Kate joins our staff in the fall of 2022 and we are thrilled to have her. She is a certified public school teacher who taught middle school English before staying home with her own three kids. Kate has had a young child at our school for two years and decided to join us as a teacher. We are so happy!
Carmen Fox
Froggy Class (older 3’s) - Lead Teacher
Carmen joined our staff in January of 2017. Carmen has her CDA and is a master teacher. She is currently a student at OSU taking early childhood classes. Carmen has years and years of experience working with children in many different settings, from baby sitting, to being a nanny to substitute teaching in the public school system.
Cathy Meberg
Floater
In 2010, Cathy joined the staff at Presbyterian Preschool as a teaching assistant. She has a degree in elementary education and special education and taught in public schools.
Donna Stallings
Honeybee Class (4-5 year old’s) - Co-Lead Teacher
Donna joins our faculty after retiring from the public school system after 44 years of teaching! She has four grown married children and lots of grandchildren she loves spending time with and traveling to see some of them. Two of Donna’s grandchildren will be here with her at Presbyterian this school year!
Jaclyn McClary
Froggy Class (older 3’s) - Assistant
In 2023, we are fortunate to have Jaclyn join our teaching staff. Jaclyn has a degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and taught in the public school for 9 years, plus she has some other part time teaching experiences. Jaclyn is a mother to two young ones that will be at preschool this year with us.
Emily Berry
Ducky Class (young 3’s) - Teacher Assistant
Emily joins us in 2023 as a teaching assistant in the ducky room. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and has taught for four years. Emily also has a lot of experience with children from her church nursery and as the nursery director. She has been home with her three young girls for the past several years, the youngest of which will be at preschool with us.
Candace Gunkel
Younger Floater
Candace rejoins our staff this year as a floater with the younger classes. She worked here in 2012 for two years and is back after working at the Wondertorium. Candace loves children and loves to work with them.
Jadyn Barefoot
Younger Floater MWF
Jadyn is a sophomore at OSU getting a degree in communication science and disorders.
Samantha Beckstrom
Older Class Floater
Samantha worked for us previously and we are so excited to have her back with us. She has three children that have all come through Presbyterian Preschool.
Brayden Bruner
Lunch Teacher MW
Brayden is a student at OSU.
Lori Rossier
T/TH Lunch/Early Birds Teacher
Lori has previously worked in other Mother’s Day out programs in Stillwater. She has two children and one grandchild.
