Youth Ministry
The youth ministry of First Presbyterian Church accompanies and empowers youth on their journey to be life-long disciples who live out their faith by love, serving, and growing in Christ.
Sunday Morning
Worship

Worship is the central act of our faith and youth are invited to be part of the gathered community. Youth are also invited to lead in worship as greeters, ushers, readers, and musicians/vocalists.

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL
9:45-10:45 a.m. on Sundays, early September to mid-May
All youth 6th-12th grade begin in the Youth Suite (second floor, north end of hallway) for fellowship and snacks at 9:45 a.m. Youth will go to their class spaces at 10:00 a.m. Aspen Sundays occur various Sundays throughout the year (meet in the Youth Suite at 9:45 a.m. and walk to Aspen Coffee downtown together for a time of check-in and conversation. Coffee is on the church!).
During Sunday School, we provide an opportunity for youth to grow in their understanding of how God’s Spirit works through each of us and consider what it means to be a disciple of Christ. We nurture an environment where questions can be asked, faith is deepened, and relationships are built.
Middle School: 6th-7th Grade
Our Middle School students will study the ancestors of the New Testament using ‘So what?’ questions from the ‘Colaborate and Re:form Ancestors’ curriculum to help them engage with the New Testament story. This class is led by Dale Ingram and Gracie Eubanks.
Junior High: 8th-9th Grade
The Junior High youth will be going through Confirmation this year, an intense yet rewarding 9-month journey through what we believe as Christians, and more specifically, as Presbyterians. An opportunity will be given to individuals at the end of the year to make a profession of faith and join the body of believers here as a member of FPC Stillwater. This class will be led by Carolyn Caldwell and Rusty Rex.
Senior High: 10th-12th Grade
Senior High youth will explore 3 Big Questions That Shape Your Future-Finding faithful answers to life and faith’s big questions around identity, belonging, and purpose. Led by Elijah Ankrom and Josh Taylor.

Resources for Families
FPC’s Faithful Families
The family is the number one influence on the faith life of children and youth. FPC is here to equip you and support you in this important role. On our Faithful Families website, you’ll find resources to engage in faith conversations and activities with children and youth, in addition to a number of resources specifically for parents/grandparents.
A safe, positive, and nurturing environment for our children and youth is important to us at First Presbyterian Church. Our staff and volunteers provide at least two adults per room for proper supervision and all who work with our children and youth have completed training and a background check per our FPC Child Protection Policy.
